Digital Retinal Imaging (DRI) is a scan that provides an image of the internal and anterior eye. The interior includes the retina, macula, optic nerve and vessels, and the anterior eye; the cornea, conjunctiva and eyelids.

These images allow us to detect and monitor subtle changes in the eye between visits as well as monitor and manage specific eye conditions. Detecting changes in the eye early allows for a more comprehensive treatment plan to protect the eye.

DRI can assist the optometrist in managing and detecting changes in the eye associated with macular degeneration, glaucoma, hypertension, cholesterol, diabetes and cancers of the eye.
