and has seen the area grow from a quite country town in to the vibrant community that it is today. “It’s been a privilege to have been part of that evolution”, says David.

He is a member of the Australia College of Optometry, the American Academy of Optometry, and the Contact Lens Society of Australia. Over the years, David has maintained an active role in the College, as a member of various committees, the College Council, and the Optometrists’ Registration Board. Of recent times, he has made a number of trips to do volunteer work in India, Laos and Sri Lanka. David is endorsed to prescribe ocular medications.

He enjoys cycling, walking, music and roasting coffee beans. Family, friends (and the dogs of course!) always come first though. David is proud of his loyal team and the service they strive to provide.

She has enjoyed seeing patients of all age groups from babies to elderly, and particularly school age children. Carol works part time around other family commitments. She and David enjoyed having both mums helping in reception in the early days and their daughters more recently while they were students in both engineering and psychology. We are fortunate that many of our patients have seen our family grow up and touched that many still travel to see us despite moving away from the area. Outside of work Carol enjoys walking, yoga and needle crafts.

As well as enjoying full-scope optometry, she has a passion for advanced contact lens fitting including orthokeratology and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. Myopia (short-sightedness) control and specialty contact lens fittings for patients with Keratoconus is also an important aspect of Rebecca’s practice. She enjoys educating patients on the evidence-based treatment options available to prevent the onset, as well as the progression of myopia, in order to reduce the prevalence of ocular health risks associated with the disease.

Rebecca was born and raised in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In her spare time, she loves hiking and cycling in the great outdoors with her husband, Fady.
